Professional Dry Needling And Acupuncture At BT Physio

Do you suffer from chronic muscle pain or lingering sports injuries? Are you seeking a natural, evidence-based approach to accelerate your recovery? Look no further than BT Physiotherapy’s dry needling and acupuncture services. Our skilled physiotherapists utilize these techniques to promote healing, improve mobility, and alleviate pain.

The Power of Traditional Medicine: Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing practice rooted in the concept of balancing energy flow (qi) throughout the body. By inserting thin needles into specific acupoints, acupuncture aims to alleviate pain, improve function, and promote overall well-being. Our physiotherapists integrate acupuncture into personalized treatment plans, offering a safe and effective approach to managing various conditions, including: Chronic pain Headaches and migraines Sports injuries Arthritis Musculoskeletal dysfunction

Targeted Relief with Dry Needling

Our physiotherapists are trained in dry needling techniques. Dry needling is a simple technique where we use sterile acupuncture needles to promote blood flow in tight muscles and speed up recovery. It is normal to experience some post-dry needling soreness after getting it done. It may feel like you have overexerted the muscles, typically within the first 48 hours. However, after this time, the muscle that received the dry needles should feel better than it did prior to the needling. Dry needling is not for everyone, and some may not get the benefit it is mentioned to provide.

Our Process

I like to group patients into a non-responder or responder group to dry needling. The non-responders will not make your injury worse but rather will be no better prior to getting the needling done, whereas the responders will feel immediate improvement in pain, range of motion and function.

Finding The Right Approach For You

Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury or struggling with chronic pain, our physiotherapists will work closely with you to determine the most appropriate treatment approach. We understand that everyone responds differently, and some patients may benefit more from dry needling while others find greater relief with acupuncture. During the initial consultation, our physiotherapists will thoroughly assess your condition, discuss your goals, and create a personalised treatment plan that may incorporate a combination of dry needling, acupuncture, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises. BT Physiotherapy believes in empowering you to achieve optimal health and well-being. Don’t let pain hold you back from living an active life. Get in touch with us today to schedule an appointment and discover how dry needling and acupuncture can enhance your recovery journey.

No. You can book an appointment directly with our physiotherapists without a referral. However, some funding programs such as WorkCover, CTP, DVA, or NDIS may require specific documentation.

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive assessment of your condition, discussion of your medical history, diagnosis, and a personalized treatment plan. You may also receive hands-on treatment and exercises to begin your recovery.

The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, its severity, and your recovery goals. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your needs and monitor your progress throughout your recovery.
